Two sides of Brazil’s contemporary music will appear at London’s Barbican venue on Monday, May 4, 2015. Jazz singer, keyboardist and composer Eliane Elias will be joined by funk vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Ed Motta. The double bill will mix jazz, bossa nova, soul and rock.
The two artists will perform music from their 20-year-long careers, including material from their most recent recordings: Elias’ Made in Brazil (which will be released on March 31 on Concord Jazz) and Motta’s 2013 album AOR.
