Melodeon Virtuoso Ollie King Releases Gambit

English melodeon maestro Ollie King has a debut album titled Gambit on Rootbeat Records. King has emerged as one of England’s finest new traditional instrumentalists. Gambit was funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign and features high profile guests such as Fay Hield, Sam Sweeney, James Findlay and Rosie Hood.

Ollie King is a Sheffield –based melodeon player and singer whose music is rooted in the traditions of England. A defining feature of his sound is his sole use of vintage Hohner instruments (maintained and modified by Mike Rowbotham), establishing him apart from other players of his age.
