Phil Beer Releases Plays Guitar and Fiddle, Sings A Bit

British multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Phil Beer has a new album titled Plays Guitar And Fiddle, Sings A Bit on the Talking Elephant label.

Phil is a well-known acoustic roots music artist in the UK. An outstanding musician, he is best known as a leading fiddler and plays in the all-star line-up, Feast of Fiddles. His impressive background also includes touring with Mike Oldfield and being a member of the renowned Albion Band from 1984-1991.

Show Of Hands became a full-time partnership in the early 1990s, a band that has gone on to sell out the Royal Albert Hall three times and who were voted Best Live Act, at the 2004 Folk Awards.

“Over the last three years of steady solo shows we’ve kept the recorders running. Here is a selection of live recordings of the most popular songs and tunes,” says Phil Beer.
