International brass performers will open and close the 2014 Oslo World Music Festival. South African virtuoso trumpeter Hugh Masekela will open the festival at Sentrum Scene on Tuesday, October 28. Trumpeters Ole Edvard Antonsen and Mathias Eick will join Masekela for the first time. Oslo World Music Festival organizers hope this unique meeting will encourage the trumpet trio to work together again in the future.
Another musician, Trygve Seim, will conclude the festival with the project Rumi Songs. The concert will take place in Toyen Church and is collaboration with Kirkens Bymisjon.
