Two leading Brazilian instrumentalists, Marco Pereira and Toninho Ferragutti are set to perform on August 29, 2014 at MIMO Festival 2014 in Ouro Preto at Igreja Na Sa Do Carmo at 20:00 (8:00 pm).
Marco Pereira is one of the main icons of Brazilian guitar. He will join talented accordionist Toninho Ferragutti for this concert. Both with acclaimed careers in Brazil and abroad they will perform the album Comum de dois. The record was a result of the 31st Oficina de Música de Curitiba, after a mesmerizing performance of the duo in 2013, in a reunion full of new music, technical sophistication and perfect blend between the two artists. Being both composers and inventive musical arrangers, they also have in common invitations for renowned international festivals and performances as sidemen to big names of Brazilian music like Dominguinhos, Marisa Monte, Gal Costa, Edu Lobo, Sivuca, Paulinho da Viola and Antonio Nóbrega.
