Modern World Music at 12th Heineken TransAtlantic Festival

heineken_transatlantic_2014Four international bands will make their Florida debuts at the 12th Heineken TransAtlantic Festival in Miami. The 2014 edition takes place April 5-6 at North Beach Bandshell.

The Festival Launch Party takes place Wednesday April 2nd, 10PM at Blackbird Ordinary, 729 SW 1 Avenue, Miami, featuring Eagle Chief and Hunters of the Alps. Admission is free (21+).

The featured artists include Astro, electro sensation from Chile; Bombino, hypnotic Tuareg grooves; The Courtney John Project (Jamaica), reggae meets EDM; Esteman, Colombia’s fresh singer-songwriter.

Local spotlight: four locally-based favorites round out the schedule: Afrobeta, Eagle Chief; Hunters of the Alps; and Tremends.
