WOMEX, the leading trade show for world music will be held held in Santiago de Compostela (Spain) from 22 to 26 October 2014. This annual showcase, conference and trade fair includes various forms of roots music, traditional and contemporary folk, global fusions, etc.
This influential conference has produced 19 editions across Europe (in cities such as Berlin, Brussels, Stockholm, Rotterdam, Seville, Copenhagen, Thessaloniki and Cardiff). To provide details about the 2014 edition, a presentation will take place at the SGAE main office in Madrid. Participants include Jose Luis Acosta, president of the SGAE; Vítor Belho, head of Nordesía, local organizing partner WOMEX 2014; Jacobo Sutil, director of AGADIC (Galician Agency for Cultural Industries, part of the Xunta de Galicia); Inma Grass , BOA Music, and other representatives of institutions and organizations.
