Cuban jazz pianist Alfredo Rodríguez has a new album titled The Invasion Parade (Mack Avenue), scheduled for release in March 2014.
The Invasion Parade was produced by Quincy Jones and features guest appearances by the great Esperanza Spalding and percussionist Pedrito Martínez. Alfredo explores his memories of Cuba and its people.
Alfredo Rodríguez is one of the finest piano players in the world and the musical director of most recent projects by Quincy Jones. Alfredo Rodríguez’s debut album, Sounds of Space, cameo out in 2012 and was inspired by writer and poet José Martí, one of the leaders of Cuban independence.
