The theme on Saturday, September 28 at the The Cross-Culture Warsaw Festival 2013 was “Queens of Rhythm.” The sold out event featured the legendary Calypso Rose from Trinidad and Tobago. The 73-year-old still has vibrant stage charisma warmed up the audience. She performed backed by the energetic rhythms of calypso.
The other star of the evening was the Moana Maniapoto, the guardian of Maori culture. Together with musicians and dancers from the band The Tribe, she took the audience on a musical journey to New Zealand.
