The 25 finalists of Marley’s Music Uprising competition were announces this week. Marley’s Music Uprising is a nationwide contest aimed to discover the next great sound inspired by reggae and influenced by the legendary Bob Marley.
From May 8th to May 24th, artists submitted original music via marley.sonichub.com and now the 25 finalists will compete for the opportunity to win a series of prizes including digital downloads, live performances at one of three major music festivals – Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, Gathering of the Vibes and Electric Forest – and the ultimate prize, a recording session at the legendary Tuff Gong Studio in Kingston, Jamaica and a track produced by Stephen Marley. Fans can vote online to select the three finalists throughout the summer months.
