Annual Scandinavian offWOMEX Showcase Program Announced for 2012

On Thursday, October 18th, the annual presentation of folk music from the Scandinavian countries returns to WOMEX. The offWOMEX Nordic Club returns with performances by Fatma Zidan (Egypt/Denmark), Niko Valkeapää (Norway) and Tsuumi Sound System (Finland).

In addition, there will another Nordic concert as a WOMEX Daycase with Groupa (Sweden). The Nordic Club is presented by Music Export Norway, World Music Denmark, Music Finland, and Sweden@WOMEX. It is funded by the Nordic Culture Fund.

World music conference and showcase WOMEX 2012 is set to take place in Thessaloniki (Greece) October 17 – 21 of 2012.
