Bandoneonist Daniel Binelli, Pianist Polly Ferman and Guitarist Eduardo Isaac to Perform in Rio de Janeiro

The Binelli-Ferman-Isaac Trio, Argentine bandoneonist Daniel Binelli, Uruguayan-American pianist Polly Ferman and Argentine guitarist Eduardo Isaac will present Homage to Piazzolla on Friday, April 20th at the Teatro Espaço Tom Jobim, Rua Jardim Botânico, 1008 – Jardim Botânico in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The concert will be an Homage to Piazzolla, with works by Astor Piazzolla and Daniel Binelli.

Daniel Binelli is an internationally renowned master of the bandoneon, acclaimed as the foremost exponent and torchbearer of the music of Astor Piazzolla. As a composer, many international orchestras, ensembles, Tango companies and soloists have commissioned and/or performed his works, including the Zurich Symphony, Edmonton Symphony, Buffalo Philharmonic, Colorado Music Festival, Montevideo Philharmonic, Colombia Symphony, and Buglisi/Foreman Dance Company as well as Osvaldo Pugliese Orquesta Tipica (Argentina) and Tango 7 (Switzerland). He is featured on the 2011 album Astor Piazzolla – Sinfonia Buenos Aires.

Polly Ferman is one of the leading interpreters of the music of the Americas. Her extensive tours as a soloist have included performances with the Symphonies of San Francisco, Colorado, Vancouver, and Indianapolis, as well as orchestras in Japan, Ukraine, Philippines, Brazil, in addition to recitals in New York, Tokyo, Washington D.C., London, Munich and Buenos Aires. She has performed in Cuba with the all-female chamber orchestra Camerata Romeu. Her recordings are available on Music Masters, Musical Heritage Society, PAMAR, EPSA Music and Sondor.

A guitarist who honors the tradition of his instrument, Eduardo Isaac’s interpretative excellence is widely acclaimed. Considered one of a select group of new generation guitarists, he is often featured at major international festivals. He was First Prize winner in several international competitions, including Infanta Cristina in Madrid, Andrés Segovia in Palma de Mallorca and the Reina Fabiola in Belgium. Since 1990 he has regularly recorded for GHA Records in Brussels.
