Vocalist and bassist Esperanza Spalding is set to perform on Monday, jury 11th, 2011, at 8:00 pm at Barbican Hall in London.
Esperanza Spalding is one of the jazz scene’s fast rising stars. She’s come a long way in a short time – playing with Joe Lovano and Stevie Wonder, amongst others – and has just picked up the Grammy Award for Best New Artist, becoming the first ever jazz musician to receive this prestigious accolade. Following the sell-out of her April show weeks in advance, she returns to the UK to play an additional Barbican date in July.
