8th Heineken TransAtlantic Festival in Miami Beach

The 8th edition of the Heineken TransAtlantic Festival wil be held Friday, April 9th and Saturday, April 24th, at North Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach, Florida. Bomba Estereo from Bogota (Colombia) and Orquestra Contemporanea de Olinda from Recife (Brazil) are scheduled to perform the first night.

Orquestra Contemporanea de Olinda are from northeast Brazil, a band of Permanbuco’s top young musicians, carrying forward the legacy of the late musical genius Chico Science – a groove-filled fusion of frevo and forro with drum & bass, rock and world rhythms. The Som Livre recording artists make their US debut tour this spring.

Night 2 includes Vieux Farka Toure (Mali) and Locos Por Juana (Miami).
