Designed to serve the industry’s ongoing need for education, exchange and inspiration, the WOMEX 2010 Conference Sessions will be guided by four key areas: Industry professionals are summoned to share their Live, Recorded and Digital Experiences as well as their “Vision Beyond” with peer professionals at WOMEX.
The popular Mentoring Sessions will also be on offer again. Delegates can sign up to talk to experts free of charge in a variety of fields. WOMEX is looking for mentors – anyone with valuable advice and feedback to offer.
The 2009 program saw more than 60 speakers from 30 countries in around 30 Conference and Mentoring Sessions. Besides selecting the official Showcases the WOMEX Jury will also be collaborating on the Conference program.
Will Page, Chief Economist at PRS for Music in London, noted about WOMEX 09: “It was the best music event I’ve ever been to, as a speaker and observer.”
WOMEX is the most important international gathering of world music professionals.
