Three Brazilian groups will perform on Wednesday, Oct. 28th, at the JazzHouse in Copenhagen. The evening starts with Soukast, an experimental percussion duo formed by Simone Sou and Guilherme Kastrup that mixes traditional instruments with samplers and a variety of objects in a groovy fashion.
Their act is followed by acoustic guitar virtuoso Alessandro Penezzi, one of the best guitar players in activity in Brazil. Penezzi will be accompanied by clarinetist Alexandre Ribeiro in a repertoire full of choros, waltzes, all performed with utmost agility and sensibility.
To wrap up, violinist Ricardo Herz comes up on stage with 7-string guitar player Luque Barros. Ricardo Herz just finished a successful tour in Brazil with violin legend Didier Lockwood and is now back in Europe. Herz is known for his unique technique, playing a full array of Brazilian rhythms on the violin. After that… join the jam until 4am!
