Mali Koura, the New Album by Issa Bagayogo Released in the UK

Mali Koura, the new album by Mali’s Issa Bagayogo, was released in the UK yesterday (8 December 2008) on Six Degrees Records. It was amongst the 10 nominated albums for the fRoots Album of the Year 2008 award and it is number 5 on the WMCE (World Music Charts Europe) Albums of the Year 2008 list (out of over 900 nominations). It is currently number 4 in the December World Music Charts Europe (number 1 in November). It was also chosen as one of top world music recordings of 2008 by World Music Central’s Angel Romero.
