One of Africa’s greatest stars, Angelique Kidjo, returns to the theater with her buoyant, energetic act. She will be performing at the Wisconsin Union Theater on November 6th, 2008 at 8 p.m.
Born in Benin and performing professionally since she was six, Kidjo, sings in several African languages as well as French and English. Traveling the world to share her passion and talent, Kidjo has used her popularity to benefit those less fortunate. A UNICEF goodwill ambassador, she speaks out on behalf of children from the many stages she has graced with her presence.
Kidjo’s rhythmic beats capture the spirit of Africa and drive the music to a new level. Kidjo is passionate, spirited and talented.
