Flamenco Summit 2008 Brings Top Flamenco Acts to Madrid’s Subway

Madrid’s metro (subway) system will present the 4th edition of  Cumbre Flamenca en el Metro de Madrid (Flamenco Summit at Madrid’s Metro) October 6 -10. The free concerts will be held at Chamartín metro station. The artists picked for the 2008 edition are undoubtedly some of the best flamenco performers, including Diego “El Cigala”, Arcángel, David Peña “Dorantes”, Miguel Poveda and Diego Carrasco. For the first time, the festival will add top dancers to the line-up, including  La Talegona and José Navas.

The concerts at Chamartín station are free but invitations are required. Flamenco fans will be able to pick up invitations at Chamartín metro ticket counters 1 hour before the event. All concerts begin at 21:30 (9:30 pm).
