Erykah Badu has released her fourth studio album New Amerykah, Pt. 1: 4th World War. On Wednesday, Badu released a limited edition Pink/Purple Double Vinyl exclusively for DJs. This includes underground tracks “The Healer” and “Real Thang”, produced by Madlib. Within weeks of the original release of New Amerykah, limited edition copies of the CD will come in the form of a USB stick which contains exclusive behind-the-scenes performance footage, interviews with Erykah Badu, plus the “Honey” music video and the album artwork by graphic artist Emek, "The Thinking Man’s Poster Artist".Erykah Badu ascended to superstardom with her earth-shattering debut Baduizm, a powerful mélange of classic soul and modern R&B, which gave birth to the term ‘neosoul.’ The album sold more than five million copies worldwide and clinched Grammies for Best Female R&B Vocal and Best R&B Album. In 2000, Badu delivered the highly lauded follow-up, Mama’s Gun, which also reached platinum status. In 2003, she released the gold certified EP Worldwide Underground.
