1st Annual Writing Competition for Young Blues Artists

Greenville (Mississippi), USA – In an effort to introduce more young artists to the Blues, Mississippi Action for Community Education (MACE) organizers of the Mississippi Delta Blues & Heritage Festival proudly announces, the 1st Annual Writing Competition for Young Blues Artists.

Winner(s) of the competition shall receive a $300 cash prize plus, have their winning song performed by a legendary Blues band, at the 30th Mississippi Delta Blues & Heritage Festival and during "Blues Week" September 10-15, 2007.

Official Rules:

• All entries may be submitted on 8 x 11" plain paper, tape cassette, CD, or DVD
• All contestants must be 25 years old or younger
• Contestants under 18 must have parents written permission to participate
