Ortigueira (Galicia), Spain – One of Europe’s largest Celtic
music festivals, Ortigueira, begins today. Ortigueira, held in
northwestern Spain, presents some of the finest Celtic acts from Galicia,
(Spain), Brittany (France), Ireland, Scotland (UK), and other countries. There
is also a sizable presence of folk groups from other parts of Spain, as well as
world music acts. All concerts are free.
The Runas Stage is dedicated to folk groups that participate in an
international contest.
