The Rotterdam Ska-Jazz Foundation from the Netherlands has released its third
album,
Sunwalk, in the United States on
Megalith Records. Sunwalk was released in Europe in March 2005 on Grover Records
from Germany. This album is purely instrumental and is a mix between ska and
jazz. On the record there are original compositions, as well as a ska classic
and a few jazz standards.
Sunwalk was recorded mostly live in three days in a very famous jazz studio
in the Netherlands; Max Bolleman’s Studio
44 in Monster. A lot of great jazz musicians like Chet Baker, Joe Henderson,
Randy Brecker and many more, have recorded their music in this studio.
The band has been playing for over 5 years in a lot of different country’s in
Europe like, Germany, Hungary, Spain, France, Switzerland, and Italy. This
January the Rotterdam Ska-Jazz Foundation is heading for the United States to
play on a couple of festivals. They have three performances scheduled:
