Santana‘s
All That I Am (Arista Records) is the #1 artist album today with
its entry at #2 (to the Now compilation) on the Billboard Top 200 Chart with
142,309 units scanned according to Nielsen SoundScan. Santana’s entry
outperforms all 2005 chart debuts from his classic all time peers: The Rolling
Stones entered the charts at #3 with 128,705 units, Stevie Wonder at #5 with
120,726, Paul McCartney at #6 with 91,543 units, Neil Young at #11 with 71,964
and Eric Clapton at #13 with 59,200.The new CD marks the third Santana album release on Arista Records. Carlos

All That I Am with Arista/J Records founder/BMG U.S. Chairman & CEO
Clive Davis, who also produced the multi-platinum and Grammy(R) award winning
albums Supernatural and Shaman, which have sold 30 million copies world wide in
just six years since their release.

The album’s strong entry at #2 was propelled by a strategic marketing campaign
of television, internet, and radio exposure that built on the popularity of his

Santana launched his television appearances in September, performing the
single “I’m Feeling You” with Michelle Branch & The Wreckers on the “NFL
Kickoff” and “The World Music Awards.” Other television appearances included
“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Live with Larry King,” “Good Morning
America,” “Late Show with David Letterman” and “Access Hollywood.” Santana is
also scheduled to perform the track “I Don’t Wanna Lose Your Love” with Los
Lonely Boys
Los Lonely Boys on the American Music Awards later this month.
Santana also celebrated the release of
All That I Am with a concert webcast by RealNetworks at New York’s
Hammerstein Ballroom on release date Tuesday, November 1st. The new single “Just
Feel Better” featuring an anthemic rock performance by Steven Tyler of Aerosmith
ships to radio next week. The album entered the digital charts at #1 today and
held the #1 spot at iTunes all week.
