Cambridge (Massachusetts), USA – Celtic-American supergroup Cherish the Ladies has a new album, Woman of the House. Recorded at the Glasgow Celtic Connections Festival in Scotland (where they garnered an “International Group of the Year” award), Woman of the House includes guest support by many talented friends – a who’s-who of today’s best Celtic musicians and vocalists – among them
Phil Cunningham (who also produced the album), Kate Rusby, Sharon Shannon, Eddi Reader, Karen Matheson, Liz Kane and Laoise Kelly.
The resulting combination of reels, jigs and heart-rending ballads is a glorious celebration of a thriving musical tradition. Cherish the Ladies is one of the finest ensembles of Celtic musicians on either side of the Atlantic.
Cherish The Ladies are: Joanie Madden (flute, whistles & harmony vocals), Heidi Talbot (lead vocals, bodhran), Mary Coogan (guitar, banjo, mandolin), Mirella Murray (accordion) and Roisin Dillon (fiddle).
