San Diego, California, USA /PRNewswire/ – The widely popular Norteño band, Los
Tucanes de Tijuana, will perform in San Diego on Father’s Day as part of
a 30-city U.S. tour called Coors Light Onda Norteña Gira 2005. The
concert is sponsored by Coors Light, Viva 102.9 FM and La Nueva 106.5 FM
and will take place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds Sunday, June 19, 2005 at
7:30 p.m.
Los Tucanes has become an ambassador to Mexican music selling more than 10
million copies of its CDs globally since 1987. The band’s popularity in Northern
Mexico and the U.S. has led it to become one of the most renowned Norteño bands
in the world. Originally from Tijuana, Mexico, Los Tucanes performs an eclectic
mix of musical styles including
Corridos, Cumbia, Banda and Baladas Románticas. Last November, the band released
two albums, Virus del Amor and Fiesta en la Sierra.
