Finland’s Southpaw Steel’n’Twang to Perform at International Steel Guitar Convention in USA

Finnish musician and composer Ville “Lefty” Leppänen’s steel guitar power trio Southpaw Steel’n’Twang (SST) has been invited to perform at International Steel Guitar Convention ISBC) in St. Louis (Missouri) in September 2015. This is the first performance of a Finnish band at ISGC.

The all-instrumental Southpaw Steel’n’Twang received outstanding reviews with their 2014 debut album “Hale’s Pleasure Railway “. The album features All original compositions by Ville Leppänen. Most of their next album will be recorded in “Firebrand Recording” studio in St. Louis. The new recording will be released at a gig “Greetings from St. Louis!” in Helsinki, Finland on November 26, 2015.

The Southpaw Steel’n’Twang lineup includes Ville “Lefty” Leppänen on steel, electric and acoustic guitars, vocals; Jp Mönkkönen on electric and upright bass, acoustic guitar; and Tero Mikkonen on drum set, percussion and ukulele
