Celebrated Mauritanian vocalist and instrumentalist Noura Mint Seymali will be performing in the UK in April 2015 and later in the year at WOMAD world music festival. She will be presenting music from her outstanding album ‘Tzenni’ (Glitterbeat Records).
Noura Mint Seymali’s sound is a mix of Mauritanian folk music mixed with rock elements. She uses traditional instruments such as the ardin and tidinit. The band line-up includes: Noura Mint Seymali on vocals and ardin, Jeiche Ould Chighaly on guitar and tidinit, Ousmane Touré on bass, and Matthew C. Tinari on drums.
