Portuguese singer Luísa Sobral is set to perform on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 22:00 at the Festival Arcu Atlánticu 2014 (Atlantic Arc Festival) held in Gijon, northern Spain.
Luísa Sobral is a young singer from Lisbon with a beautiful voice that has been compared to that of Billie Holiday. She was born in Lisbon and studied music in the U.S., at the prestigious Berklee schoool, where she was nominated for several.
She composes in several languages and is also multi-instrumentalist. The Cherry on my Cake (Universal, 2011) was her first album. In late 2013, Luísa released A Flower In My Bedroom, which featured collaborations with Màrio Laginha, Antonio Zambujo and Jamie Cullum. Her style blends jazz, folk and pop with skill and talent.
Her concert will take place at the Plaza Mayor at 22:00.
