Africa Oyé Festival Announces 2014 Dates

africa_oye_2Africa Oyé, the UK’s largest free festival of African music and culture, will take place Saturday, June 21-22, 2014 at Sefton Park, Liverpool. The event will feature acts from across Africa and the Caribbean together with vendors and a funfair for the kids.

There are some stunning artists coming to perform in Liverpool from Africa and all over the diaspora in 2014,” says Artistic Director, Paul Duhaney. “We’ve got more fantastic traders and stalls and of course the best festival audience in the UK.”

Arts Council England is supporting Oyé once more in 2014: “The Arts Council aims to achieve great art and culture for everyone and Oyé contributes significantly to this, ensuring that talent and artistic excellence are thriving and celebrated. Oyé supports new and innovative work to ensure it can reach more and more people, both nationally and internationally.”
