Russian group Moscow Nights will be performing at the Long View Center Performance Hall in Raleigh on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 8:00 pm (doors at 7:30pm). Featuring vocals, Russian percussion, bayan (accordion), zhaleika (wind instruments), and the hottest balalaika playing around, the award-winning musical ambassadors from Russia are an exciting, versatile trio of world-recognized, virtuosic musicians.
Having established themselves as one of the fastest rising musical groups in Europe and with the release of their fourth CD, these classically-trained folk artists are now bringing their enthralling music to North America.
The line-up is: Vitaliy Bezrodnov – Director, bayan, vocals; Valentin Zavirioukha – Bayan; Sergei Ruksha – Contrabass Balalaika; and Yuri Shishkin – Prima Balalaika.
The concert is part of the MewZiKat Productions Acoustic Concert Series in conjunction with Friends of World Music.
Long View Center Performance Hall is located at the corner of Hargett and Person Streets, next to Exploris/Marbles Museum.
