Sintetiza2 is as a heartfelt tribute from Donatinho to his late father, João Donato, released more than a year after the Brazilian music icon’s passing. The album features some of Donato’s final recordings, celebrating his influential legacy in Brazilian popular music. Indeed, João Donato expertly fused Latin jazz, samba, and funk.
Continuing the success of their first collaboration, Sintetizamor (2017), which earned critical acclaim and international recognition, Sintetiza2 preserves a pop sensibility infused with a wide range of mouthwatering, irresistible Latin rhythms that urge to jump into the dancefloor. This work includes special contributions from artists like Russo Passapusso, Joyce Moreno, and Bluey from Incognito.
The song “Intuir,” co-written by father and son during the pandemic, reflects their close creative synergy. Filmed in João Donato’s birthplace of Acre, the song’s music video further deepens the connection to his roots.
