Cuban drummer and composer Dafnis Prieto has released a music video version of the song
“Houve Um Tempo,” the first single from his upcoming album, “Cantar”, featuring Brazilian singer Luciana Souza.
Dafnis says about “Houve Um Tempo”: “The title means “Once Upon a Time.” This is a cheerful and uplifting track in Portuguese, based on the baião and partido alto/samba styles, with a very lyrical and vivid melody. This song is a perfect example of the spirit of collaboration within the album. I wrote the music first and then I asked Luciana to write the lyrics for it, which fit just perfectly with the storytelling and the character of the song.”
