Círculo Flamenco de Madrid Announces 2021-2022 Program

Círculo Flamenco de Madrid has revealed the program for its upcoming 2021-2022 season. The program will feature concerts by top vocalists and guitarists at the Teatro Alfil – Madrid Flamenco Theater; parallel activities with educational or informative content at the Corral de la Morería and the Casa Patas Foundation; and the third Círculo Flamenco de Madrid Festival to be held in December.

The singers scheduled to perform include some of the most relevant in the current Flamenco scene, such as El Pele, Arcángel, Cancanilla, Jesús Méndez, Vicente Soto, David Palomar and Dolores Agujetas.

Guitar concerts are also an essential part of the program with top performers, including Rafael Riqueni, Juan Carlos Romero, Paquete, and José del Tomate.

The Círculo Flamenco de Madrid has programmed a wide range of parallel activities that will allow fans to enjoy Flamenco through new book or recordings presentations, as well as colloquia or gatherings, with the participation of notable specialists and artists: Andrés Vázquez de Sola, José Antonio Ruiz, Roger Salas, Pepe Lamarca, El Güito, Eugenio Cobo, José María Velázquez-Gaztelu, Andrés Raya, Pedro G. Romero, José Manuel Gamboa, Diego A. Manrique, Juan Luis Cano, Faustino Núñez, Israel Fernández, and more.

The third Círculo Flamenco de Madrid Festival will include five events in mid-December (three concerts and two debates). On December 16th there will be a Flamenco party starring Luis Peña, El Purili, Juanfra Carrasco and Rubén Lara, with the special collaboration of Paco Vega; on the 17th, a concert by guitar maestro Víctor Monge ‘Serranito’, on his farewell tour; and finally, on the 18th, the vibrant singing style of Juana la del Pipa with guitarist Manuel Parrilla.

Although José de la Tomasa was scheduled for October 14, he had to cancel and was replaced by Cancanilla de Málaga, accompanied by guitarist Antonio Carrión.
