About Towers – New Energy for Old Belgian Music (ARC Music) is the title of the new album from Belgian band WÖR. Release date is January 22, 2021.
Following the steps of the past bell-ringers (bell tower musicians), WÖR take original carillon melodies from the 18th century and recreate them with their own new arrangements.
The band includes Fabio Di Meo on baritone saxophone; Jeroen Goegebuer on fiddles, mandolin, banjo; Pieterjan Van Kerckhoven on bagpipes, soprano saxophone, piano; Bert Ruymbeek on accordion; and Jonas Scheys on guitars, double bass.
