Her first album was ‘Sanación’ in which she sings about love, nonconformity, struggle, revolution, and other topics.
In 2020, María José Llergo received the First Paco Martín Award for rising talent in global music (world music). The jury rewarded her ability to incorporate tradition and hybridization, opening new paths to flamenco song, as well as her talent as a performer and songwriter, widely demonstrated in her debut album.
