Genticorum was founded in 2000 and has become a dynamic force on the Québécois music scene. The multi-talented trio Genticorum perform a powerhouse blend of traditional and original material, incorporating vibrant vocal harmonies with flute, fiddle, guitar, jaw harp, bass, and foot percussion.

The original lineup included Yann Falquet on guitar, jaw harp, and vocals; Pascal Gemme on fiddle and vocals; and Alexandre de Grosbois-Garand on wooden flute, bass, and vocals. Nicholas Williams (wooden flute and accordion) later replaced Alexandre de Grosbois-Garand.

In 2023, they released Au Coeur de l’Aube (The Heart of Dawn), an album that celebrates various bird species.
