Blou has been performing a vast repertoire of original, contemporary and traditional music. Originating from Nova Scotia’s Acadie in Canada, their music is inspired by their Acadian roots. Ancient and new eclectic sounds spiced with powerful.

Some important highlights in Blou’s career in 1999 included winning an East Coast Music Award for Francophone Recording of the Year, as well as an Éloize for Artist of the Year in Music. They are the first Acadian musical group to sign a distribution contract for the European market with their first album Acadico. The future is even more promising for their second album Rhythm ‘n Blou.

The band has performed in many festivals and international cultural events since 1994.
