Artist Profiles: Breabach

Breabach formed in Glasgow as students enjoying the thriving folk scene at sessions and ceilidhs. Although they come from all parts of Scotland, they share a common love for playing traditional music.

The four members of the band are all accomplished musicians and when they get a chance to play together, their show is not to be missed. Breabach creates an exciting, authentic sound with a blend of bagpipes, fiddle, whistles and guitar.

Their combination of strong traditional tunes with original arrangements produces a sound that will leave a lasting impression on the listener. It is this sound that helped them achieve success at Celtic Connections Danny Kyle Open Stage Competition in 2005.
