Pianist from Lebrija (Sevilla), David Peña Dorantes, and flamenco singer from Granada, Marina Heredia are set to perform today, June 28 at Teatros Del Canal in Madrid, as part of the spectacular Suma Flamenca festival, one of the greatest flamenco series in Spain.

Marina Heredia (Granada, Spain, 1980), chosen by numerous institutions to take flamenco beyond Spain’s borders, has performed throughout the world for over fifteen years and has released four studio albums. However, her career extends beyond flamenco: she has worked with composer Mauricio Sotelo in his opera, De Amore, and with Moroccan artist, Amina Alaoui.

Dorantes and his piano are often compared to Paco Lucia and his guitar. He is one of the finest performers of instrumental flamenco music. His musical performances bring together jazz, classical and flamenco sounds.

Performers:

Piano – Dorantes
Vocals – Marina Heredia
Backing vocals and palmas (hand clapping) – Anabel Rivera and Jara Heredia
Percussion and drums – Javi Ruibal
Sound – Manu Meñaca
