Vusi Mahlasela and Habib Koité to Perform at Stewart Theater in Raleigh

African world music stars Vusi Mahlasela (South Africa) and Habib Koité (Mali) are set to perform on Saturday, April 16 at Stewart Theater, NC State University.
Vusi Mahlasela is celebrated for his well-defined voice and his poetic, optimistic lyrics. Vusi has released seven studio albums. His latest recording is Sing to the People (ATO Records), a celebratory live recording looking back on twenty years since his first album.

Habib Koité is a virtuoso guitarist and talented songwriter. Thus far he’s sold over 250,000 albums, and he continues to build his profile through a very active calendar of tour dates. Over the past decade, his artistry and magnetic personality have made him an international pop star on par with leading figures in contemporary world music. His recordings include Soo, Muso Ko, Afriki, Brothers in Bamako, Baro, Ma Ya and Foly Live Around the World.
