Rancapino Chico and Asuncion Demartos to Perform at ‘Flamencos y mestizos’ 2016

Vocalist Alonso Núñez “Rancapino Chico” and dancer Asunción Demartos are set to performon Friday, March 18, 2016 as part of the ‘Flamencos and mestizos’ series. The performances will take place in Madrid’s Sala Berlanga.

Alonso Núñez Fernández, known as Rancapino Chico, has music in his blood. He comes from a family of artists, son of the great singer Alonso Núñez Núñez “Rancapino” and Juana Fernández Núñez. He is also the nephew of Orillo del Puerto and great-grandson of la Obispa.

At a very early age he excelled in the world of music, singing flamenco styles such as martinetes, and bulerías. Today, he is considered a rising star of pure flamenco.

With over 20 years of experience and running her own company, dancer dancer Asunción Demartos is one of the great artists of contemporary flamenco, having carried this genre to every corner of the planet.

Currently, Asunción Demartos is involved in the creation of her new show Bailaora in which she returns to the purity and roots of flamenco.
