Mundial Montreal Announces 2013 Lineup

World music showcase Mundial Montreal, presented in collaboration with Galaxie, announced the program for its 3rd edition. The event takes place November 19-22 in Montreal, Canada and will feature some of the finest world music artists in Canada today in a series of “festival style” free and ticketed shows.

This year’s lineup includes over 30 artists and discussions in 10 venues in downtown Montreal, and will play host to some of the most sought-after programmers and tastemakers from across Canada, the U.S. and Europe.

Some of the highlights at Mundial Montreal include afrofunk band The Souljazz Orchestra from Ottawa, tabla technologist Gurpreet Chana and ethno-fusion klezmer explosion Lemon Bucket Orkestra from Toronto, rapper Vox Sambou, local gypsy jazz sensations Sagapool, soulful twins Ibeyi (France/Cuba), Latin ska act Colectivo, and pan-African super group Okavango African Orchestra.
