Anoushka Shankar to Perform at Yellow Lounge London

Sitar player, composer, songwriter and world music sensation Anoushka Shankar will be presenting music from hew new album ‘Traces of You‘ at Yellow Lounge London on Wednesday 16th October, with special guests. ‘Traces Of You‘ was produced by Nitin Sawhney and features Anoushka’s half-sister Norah Jones.

‘Traces Of You‘ developed from the concept that everything in the universe leaves an indelible mark, or a subtle ‘trace’, on everything it comes in to contact with. Anoushka Shankar draws on her relationships and multicultural lifestyle to trace a journey of love, change and loss. The music exists in a undefinable space between genres, beautifully incorporating traditional Indian sounds into a musical panorama dominated by classical and contemporary Western soundscapes.
