Krar Collective to Bring Ethiopian Grooves to The Africa Express Tour

London-based Ethiopian music band Krar Collective will be joining the Africa Express Tour in September. The Africa Express train will be stopping at six premier UK locations to play large concerts and other types of performances. Musicians include Krar Collective, Amadou & Mariam, Fatoumata Diawara, Toumani Diabate, Tony Allen, Nicolas Jaar, Kyla La Grange and more.

World Music Network will release Krar Collective’s debut album, Ethiopia Super Krar on September 10th, 2012. Krar Collective use traditonal Ethiopian instruments such as krar and kebero combined with drums and stunning vocals. Their live shows present a sound rooted in tradition and soaked with attitude.

This year has been an exciting one for Krar Collective with performances at the Olympic BT River of Music stages and festivals across Europe.

The Africa Express tour is renowned for its energetic live shows showcasing musicians collaborating and communing together in wild experimentation.
