Blaze Festival 2011 in London will present two wild nights with Ludovico Einaudi and La Notte della Taranta orchestra, and special guests Mercan Dede, Ballake Sissoko and Savina Yannatou.
The music of composer/pianist Ludovico Einaudi has been described as minimalist, classical, ambient, contemporary and deeply touching.
Born in Turin, the pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi trained at the Conservatorio in Milan, then continued his studies under the guidance of Luciano Berio.
In 2006, Einaudi released Diario Mali, a collaboration with African Kora player Ballake Sissoko. The music is dialogue between two cultures, two different worlds, with elements of Renaissance music, African melodies, Blues and Caribbean music.
These performances are part of a weekend exploring Mediterranean music and culture. Further details to be announced.
