WOMEX 2011 Call for Conference Speakers

World music conference WOMEX 2011, which will be held in Copenhagen this year, is currently accepting proposals for world music conferences. WOMEX 2011 will be held Wednesday October 26 through Sunday October 30, 2011, in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Shaped to serve the music industry’s ongoing need for inspiration, exchange and education, the WOMEX 2011 conference will be guided by four key areas: Music business experts from all around the world are called on to share their Live, Recorded and Digital Experiences as well as their “Vision Beyond” with peer professionals at WOMEX.

The popular Mentoring Sessions will also be part of the WOMEX 2011 Conference. Delegates can sign up for private 15-minute consultations free of charge with any of the special mentors. WOMEX is looking for mentors from various fields and occupations – anyone with valuable advice and feedback to offer.

The 2010 program saw more than 60 speakers from 20 countries in around 30 Conference and Mentoring Sessions. The Conference program is compiled in consultation with the WOMEX Jury.

WOMEX was an amazing opportunity to connect with musicians and industry leaders from around the globe who have a true passion for world music,” commented WOMEX 2010 Conference speaker Michele Flannery (USA), YouTube Music.
