The Vinayaka Chaturthi Music Festival at Mayur Vihar – Delhi (India)

India is a nation (among other things) of great festivals. A common factor among the myriad of festivals is lots of fun and bonhomie marked by Religious fervor expressed through prayers and rituals. And again another guaranteed factor is Rich Classical Music Concerts and Rich Food called Prasadam.

The Shri Subha Siddhi Vinayaka Mandhir Society (Regd.), of Mayur Vihar Delhi is now celebrating a 11 day festival of Vinayaka Chaturthi from the 29th Aug to 09th Sep. 2007 at the temple premises (Main Road, Pocket – 1V, Phase One, Delhi 110091.)

Sangeetha Seva to the Divinity is being rendered with a 5 day classical music series. The inauguration of the Music festival on the 29th August 8 at 6:30 pm is by eminent Delhi artist: Shakatapuram Srividya Peetam Asthana Vidushi Ganakala Vibhushan

Shri Kumbakonam N. Padnabhan – mridangam

Smt. Bhanumathi Vishwanath symbolizes the essence of Guru Kripa. Endowed with a mellifluous voice, sharp intelligence exudes a vibrant stage presence. She has been a child prodigy, and noticed in her broadcasting programs as a child artist. With a quick succession of many scholarships and awards, she had also the privilege of learning under the doyen of classical music Padma Vibhushan Smt. DK Pattammal. In this concert she is being accompanied by talented and senior musicians like Shri KLN Shastry on the violin, Shri Kumbakonam N. Padmanabhan on the mridangam.
