Jehro Plans European Tour for Early 2008

Paris, France – A European tour is in the works for Jehro, French master of Caribbean beats and smooth lyrics. Singer-songwriter Jehro s self-titled debut album was just released in Germany and Austria at the beginning of September on Warner Records and a European tour is in the works for February through April of 2008 with a show confirmed for Warsaw on February 2nd.

This first solo album from the Marseilles native was inspired by Caribbean and American grassroots music – it touches on Reggae, Folk, Latin and Calypso and is all wrapped up one pretty little package made up of that sweet, sweet Jehro voice.

Sung in English and Spanish, this is an album comprised of snapshots taken from the lives of everyday people. Jehro makes music that evokes images of fellow French crooner Manu Chao  and Malians Amadou & Mariam, but with a sound that takes you away to an island paradise on waves of pop.

Fans in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay can pick up the album in stores beginning next month; it is set for release on Random Records and in Italy a release is scheduled for January. The album has been available in Poland and Spain since this past October.
