Rob Foenander comes from a distinguished musical family in Sri Lanka – his uncle is Cliff Foenander who achieved international fame when he performed in South East Asia and Las Vegas with the Fabulous Echoes. Rob is a musician in his own right, performing in Melbourne and across Australia. He also has his own radio program at a radio station in Melbourne. Keith Potger who was born in Colombo achieved cult status with the Australian folk group the ‘Seekers’ in the 1960s.The Seekers had nine hits in Britain and Australia in the 1960s: "I’ll Never Find Another You", "A World of Our Own", "The Carnival Is Over, "Someday One Day", "Walk With Me", "Morningtown Ride", "Georgy Girl" (the title song of the film of the same name), "When Will The Good Apples Fall" and "Emerald City". They are also known for ‘Turn, Turn, Turn.’ Keith Potger founded ‘The New Seekers’ the group released many hits in the 1970s.
 “Further Down The Road”, was written by Rob Foenander and actually played to Keith Potger on a pre recording of the Sri Lanka Morning show for Channel 31 back in 2005, where Keith Potger was a guest on the program.
 It is the title track off Rob’s forth-coming album (currently being recorded in Australia) and he goes back to his country music roots with this next CD – which features 12 of his own songs.
 “Heaven Sent”, Robs Foenander’s first CD release continues to be a success, with a number of well known artists wanting to sing and record songs off the album for themselves. Three of these songs made the No. 1 spot with the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, the oldest radio station in South Asia, between 2003 – 2005. In 2005, Rob Foenander was awarded the Best Expatriate Male Performer by the SLBC as part of the Sri Lankan Originals Awards.
 ‘Further Down the Road’ has been entered in the 2008 Tamworth Country Music Awards Vocal Collaboration & APRA song of the year section.
